The S15 magazine is a patent-pending, flush-fitting 15 round magazine for the Glock® 43X and Glock® 48. The S15 is a steel magazine, and is the same length as the OEM Glock® 10 round magazine, but holds an additional 5 rounds.

Gen 2 Improvements
What changed with the gen 2 magazine? They made the following improvements:
- Ambidextrous - mag catch cutout on both the left and right side
- Smaller mag catch cutout windows
- Improved magazine tube geometry
- Improved baseplate geometry
Mag Catch Recommendation
They recommend swapping out your plastic OEM mag catch with either their standard steel mag catch or their premium steel mag catch. Here's why. If you don't swap your mag catch you may have reliability issues. If you use another manufacturer's mag catch you may have reliability issues. Gen 2 magazines were designed to work with Shield Arms steel mag catches. If you have a first generation aluminum mag catch, Shield Arms recommends upgrading to one of their steel mag catch offerings.

Finish Options
Powercron
Powercron is a cationic epoxy coating that offers excellent corrosion resistance and low VOC in a lead-free film electrocoat surface finish. If you are in a humid or salt water environment, or if you sweat a lot, they recommend Powercron, Electroless Nickel, or Black Electroless Nickel finish.
Note: because they have multiple Powercron vendors, there may be slight cosmetic variations in the finish. This is cosmetic only and does not affect performance. If you are concerned about a "matching" finish from mag to mag, you might be happier with one of the electroless nickel finishes.
