Spike's Dynacomp Brake for RPK--the best period
The Spike's Tactical Dynacomp 14x1 LH muzzlce brake worked so well on my Zastava RPK full-length 21.3-inch barrel bipod-equipped rifle, I tried the Spike's brake on my 16-inch barrel (no bipod) Zastava RPK Carbine. I formerly had the Century Arms M109 "shorty" muzzle brake with great results in felt recoil and minimal-to-no muzzle rise., and the zero was with the CAI M109 brake was fairly accurate. Replacing the CAI M109 with the Spike's Dynacomp increased accuracy and precision 3-fold relative to the CAI M109 brake. The heavier weight of the Spike's helped with keeping the sights on target during double-taps or Mozambique shooting drills with accuracy nearing the 21.2-inch standard length RPK rifle. using the same Spike's Dynacomp brake. Felt recoil and muzzle rise control was slightly better than the CAI M109 brake on the Carbine rifle, but the accuracy and precision of the shots landing where you aim them are where the Spike's differentiates itself from the CAI M109. To be fair the Spike's brake costs 3-times more than the Century Arms M109, but you also get 3-times better performance, so the cost-to-benefit ratio is 1-to-1, which makes paying 3-times more for the Spike's a no-brainer. Patriot Defense offers the Spike's Dynacomp at rock-bottom prices, (actually cheaper than ordering directly from Spike's Tactical), so get one for your Zastava RPK, and enjoy the better accuracy from this brake.

Best muzzle brake for Zastava full-length or Carbine RPK
The Spikes Tactical Dynacomp muzzle brake is the best muzzle brake I've experienced for my Zastava RPK 7.62x39 rifles. I have both the 16-inch carbine and 21.3-inch full-length rifle. I currently use the Spike's brake on the full-length rifle, and it shoots as soft as an ArmaLite 15, 5.56 NATO. Felt recoil is toward the shooter, with almost no muzle rise. The brake's outer diameter also happens to match the outer diameter of the Zastava RPK's heavy-profile barrel, so the Spike's looks like it was intended for this rifle. I'd like to see Spike's add a collection of crush rings to fill the gap between the front sight post and muzzle device. The gap is hard to notice but it's there. It's about 1/2 turn's worth of gap on the thread. Other than that nitpick--it's great muzzle brake and worth it's $90 discounted price!
