Introducing the Talon-GI, Radian is pleased to offer a variant of their Talon 45/90 safety selector that features no weak side lever, for those who prefer this configuration to an ambidextrous setup. The Talon-GI comes with one long lever that is installed on a precision machined dovetail cut and retained with a spring-loaded retention stud to lock the lever in place - no screws to come loose or break. The Talon is compatible with most semi-automatic AR15 & AR10/SR25-pattern rifles as well as MCX and MPX platforms.

The Talon-GI can be configured in either a 45 degree short throw or standard 90 degree configuration. The safety features a "safe" and "fire" indicator on the weak side of the safety cylinder.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 01 | Remove the grip and old safety.

STEP 02 | Apply a light coating of oil to the Talon cylinder and insert into the lower receiver so the detent groove in the shaft lines with the safety detent hole.

STEP 03 | Drop the supplied safety detent into the lower receiver and place the supplied safety detent spring into the grip. Install and tighten the grip.

STEP 04 | Snap the small spring included in the parts kit onto the shorter end of the retention stud.

STEP 05 | Insert the spring loaded retention stud into the hole at the end of the cylinder, spring end first.

STEP 06 | Using the supplied Talon installation tool, depress the spring loaded retention stud while sliding the lever onto the dovetail. The retention stud will snap into place securing the lever.

HOW TO SWITCH THROW CONFIGURATION

STEP 01 | Loosen the grip just enough to rotate the entire safety unit 180°, then tighten grip.

STEP 02 | Remove the levers using the supplied installation tool, then reinstall the levers in the correct orientation.

COMPATIBILITY

The Talon is compatible with most semi-automatic AR15 & AR10/SR25-pattern rifles as well as MCX and MPX platforms.

Talon-GI 45/90

I read a number of reviews on the Talon and have been really pleased with the functionality of the selector so far. Loved the Ambi version, but never really liked how even the smallest option made contact with my shooting hand. Finally, the same quality on a single side safety selector. I was having difficulty returning to a safe position without removing my hand from the grip, this 45 safety solved that problem for me. I will buy more for the rest of my rifles.
